BMW Malaysia today introduced the First-Ever BMW 840i Gran Coupé M Sport, the newest member to the premium automaker’s portfolio of luxury vehicles, at its first ever virtual unveiling in Malaysia on BMWs website.
The first of its kind BMW is an extraordinary combination of superior aesthetics, sporting spirit and a luxurious ambience. Featuring a dynamic silhouette with four doors, a long wheelbase and a coupé-style roofline flowing effortlessly into the sloping rear, this coupé is the most luxurious BMW has ever built.
The 840i Gran Coupé M Sport elegantly features a silhouette that is powerfully defined and dynamically
extended – making it an unmistakable member of the BMW 8 Series.
The iconic kidney grille is complemented by a widened frame that emphasises the vehicle’s low centre of gravity, while the large M Sport air intakes and BMW laser headlight with high-beam assistant – the most slender headlight of all BMW models – provide clear definition to the frontal appearance of the vehicle.
Powering the 840i Gran Coupé M Sport is a formidable three-litre six-cylinder in-line TwinPower Turbo engine that is new to the BMW 8 Series and is capable of generating a top speed of 250 km/h.
The coupé outputs 250 kw / 340 hp at 5,000 – 6,500 rpm with a peak torque of 500 Nm at 1,600 – 4,500 rpm. The century sprint is achieved in only 5.2 seconds – fastest in its segment, with a combined fuel consumption of 7.9 l/100km and combined carbon output of 180 g/km.
With a full-leather dashboard, electric sports seats with integrated headrests and active seat ventilation for both the driver and front passenger, as well as rear seats with a moulded single-seat appearance, you know you’re getting the epitome of luxury.
Ambient lighting with adjustable brightness and colour spectrum helps set the mood for the drive, while the
four-zone automatic air conditioning makes it a comfortable one. Roller sunblinds are also available as standard.
In addition to that, the Parking Assistant Plus is available as standard. The lateral parking aid and the Active Park Distance Control emergency braking feature are also included to help support in sticky parking situations.
The car is offered in six dynamic colours, namely Barcelona Blue, Sonic Speed Blue, Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Mineral White and Sunset Orange. They can be paired with BMW Individual extended Merino leather trim in a variety of premium colour combinations ranging from Black, Night Blue, Cognac, Tartufo and Fiona Red.
