Unfortunately due to Covid-19, a lot of big event this year had to be either cancelled, postponed or held in a form of virtual event. One of the events I was looking most forward to was Comic Fiesta, I go there every year since 2014 but it’s not happening this year as the event is postpone indefinitely.

One event that was sure if it will be held or not was BlizzCon. BlizzCon is an annual gaming convention held by Blizzard Entertainment to promote its major franchises including Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Overwatch.

After a few months of consideration, Blizzard has finally decided to hold an online BlizzCon next year. Calling it BlizzConline, the online-only event is set to be held on February 19 & 20.

The company made its announcement recently on its official website. That being said, it seems that most of the details the company now has relate to those who are looking to somehow participate in BlizzConline.

Examples of a community showcase include the likes of a cosplay exhibition, as well as cosplay, art, and digital storytelling competitions.

But on the flip side, for those just wanting to attend the online convention, there isn’t much yet. The company says that regarding BlizzConline, it still has a lot of planning to do. While understandable, it sounds a little odd, as when it comes to selling online tickets for the event, it’s not like the company is completely new.

Most significantly, perhaps, the company did not hint at any announcement it would make during the event. Back at the event last year, the company made its first official announcements for Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4. Naturally, in the upcoming BlizzConline, people are expecting updates for these two titles.

Are you guys excited for BlizzConline? Will you be attending? If you are, what are the things you are looking most forward to at the online event? Share us your thoughts in the comments.
