BlackBerry Venice Android Incorporates BB10 Interface

There has been leaks and murmurs about the Blackberry Venice for quite sometime now, if you’ve missed any of it, the leaks were first blogged by Evan Blass on the Ontario based company working on a BB device running on Android. Whats interesting about the phone is its slider feature housing the keypads behind the screen, older fans would recognise this concept from classics like Nokia 6288 Slide, the days where phones were not all candy bars! Blackberry has been unrelenting with the keypads on its phones that made the company popular in the past decade, and continued with later releases like the Passport and now on the Venice, but does it appeal to the mass consumer? Numbers has been sliding.

Not 100% android the Blackberry Venice will have BB10 interface incorporated into the OS, the result of collaboration with Google. Based on the APK screen shot released, BBHub will be one of the functions that will be ported on to the Android Venice, an extremely convenient feature the Hub gives users a one stop centre for all their notifications, text messages, emails, social all in a single place.

If all goes according to plan, the phone could be seen making public appearance in November in US on selected carriers.
