Entrepreneur and founder of Bawal Exclusive, Haliza Maysuri, made headlines as she elegantly donned a luxurious RM250,000 Rizalman Couture ensemble adorned with 83,900 Swarovski crystals.
The stunning attire was showcased during a lavish dinner celebration commemorating the 25th anniversary of the premium hijab brand at a prestigious hotel.
Haliza revealed that the creation took a year to complete and was imported from the United Kingdom.
The meticulously hand-sewn masterpiece reflects the founder’s dedication to exclusivity, with thoughts of engaging a Turkish designer considered before ultimately collaborating with Rizalman.
“I had considered several fashion designers in Turkey but found it challenging due to fittings and logistics. Rizalman, with his expertise, was the perfect choice. I am very confident in his abilities, and the result speaks for itself. I am thrilled, especially since my husband is very pleased,” Haliza expressed.
Despite its hefty price tag, Haliza emphasised her satisfaction and pride in supporting local talent. She encouraged fellow Malaysians to appreciate and support local designers, showcasing their abilities on par with international counterparts.
The 25th-anniversary celebration, themed “Magnificent Century,” drew inspiration from the Ottoman Empire’s historical legacy.
The event featured a charity auction for the exclusive Bawal Tabur design, with proceeds directed to the Malaysia Medical Relief Society’s Palestine Humanitarian Fund.
The showcased collection ranged from specially crafted pieces priced between RM10,000 and RM150,000.
