An accidental leak has happened on ASUS’ own online store at Lazada Malaysia. Hence, it looks like we may have a price range for the ASUS ZenFone 5Z. Interestingly, it reveals the price tag for the phone at RM1,899.
The ZenFone 5z is a higher-end phone than the ZenFone 5, notably because it hosts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset over the ZenFone 5’s Snapdragon 636. Apart from that, the listing reveals that the phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, higher than the ZenFone 5’s 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.
As per the global reveal, there is a 8GB RAM variant but, to-date, ASUS and its partners are even more secretive about it.
The other specs of the ZenFone 5Z remain the same as its sibling, so expect a 6.2-inch full HD+ IPS display, 12MP + 8MP dual rear cameras, 8MP selfie camera, and 3,300mAh battery.
Looking at the price, the ASUS ZenFone 5Z poses an increase of RM619. This extra kick mostly boils down to the more powerful processor, but the smartphone remains sub-RM2,000 in price.
