Building on its gaming ecosystem, ASUS ROG has a new gaming monitor. The ROG Strix XG27VQ is the first model from the ROG Strix XG gaming monitor series, targeted towards professional gamers.
While the ROG Strix XG27VQ may seem like any other 27-inch gaming monitor, ASUS ROG has wrapped its panel into a 1080R curve. This gives you a wider field of vision, giving the games a more realistic and immersive experience. As the refresh rate is crucial for gaming monitors, ASUS ROG equips its ROG Strix XG27VQ with a 144Hz refresh rate. Great for FPS, RTS and MOBAs, the ROG Strix XG27VQ removes any sort of screen tear or lag for smooth and fluid gameplay.
The monitor will also feature the exclusive ASUS ROG Extreme Low Motion Blue technology. This eliminates motion blur, making objects in motion in-game seem lifelike and realistic without any smearing.
As always, it wouldn’t be a gaming monitor if there wasn’t any indication of RGB lighting. The monitor comes with ASUS Aura RGB lighting on the back panel with different lighting modes to choose from. Its tripod stand also comes with a light projection, which you can customise. If you couldn’t be bothered, you can stick with the ROG logo covers.
For in-game enhancements, the ROG Strix XG27VQ features the ASUS GamePlus hotkey. There is also an onscreen timer on the left of the screen to keep track of your gaming time. If you need self-validation on your PC Master Race credentials, there is also an in-built FPS counter.
The ASUS ROG Strix XG27VQ is available now at RM2,234.
