Astro have now announced that Astro IPTV customers can get a free upgrade to their Astro Ultra Box which comes with 4K UHD, Cloud Recording, a new user interface seamless across devices, improved content recommendations based on what you watch, a play from start function, and the ability to record multiple shows at the same time.

There are some caveats as to who this offer is available for. The Astro Ultra Box for now is only available to all non-contracted Astro IPTV customers and those on the Maxis Fibre Network. However, if you choose to upgrade, you will be renewing your contract for another 24 months.

There are also some rebates Astro is offering for both new and existing customers. Existing customers are eligible for a total of RM840 in savings via the broadband bundle over the 24 month period from Astro with a RM720 rebate & RM120 Auto Debit.

New customers on the other hand are eligible for a total of RM600 in savings via the broadband bundle over the 24 month period from Astro with a RM480 rebate & RM120 Auto Debit.
