Apple intends to stop sharing numbers on how many devices it’s selling. Following the reveal of its recent quarterly earnings reports, the company announced that unit sales of iPhones, iPads, and Macs will no longer be referenced in upcoming reports.

According to the company, this is because it believes that units of devices sold is no longer relevant. Apple sells its products at multiple price points. Due to the wide range of prices it sets for any one device, the company believes that unit of sale is less relevant now.

Instead of disclosing the number of units shipped, Apple will detail dollar revenues and cost of sales for each device category. In light of this news, some investors have pulled out from Apple. The company’s market value has dropped by $70 billion down past the $1 trillion mark that it achieved a while ago.

The tech giant shipped about 46.89 million iPhones this quarter, but this was a flat number in terms of unit growth. However, the company’s revenue for iPhones still went up by 29 percent, thanks to higher average prices on its iPhones.

Recently, Apple launched more expensive premium devices such as the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The average sale price of the iPhone has risen to $793 compared to $618 a year ago.
