A more affordable version of the AirPods Pro? YES PLEASE.
With the talk of the town being the S20 and pretty much anything Samsung related, Apple products just aren’t getting much buzz at the moment. Now that the Unpacked event is over though, rumours are starting to surface that Apple is already working on a sequel to the AirPods Pro (That is only a couple of months old, mind you) called the AirPods Pro Lite.
According to reports, the rumoured Lite version of Apple’s hugely popular AirPodS series will basically be as it’s name implies; a more affordable version of the AirPods Pro. Given that the Pro model came with noise-cancelling, it’s possible that the rumoured Pro Lite comes without the feature. Should that be the case, the original AirPods will surely be phased out. We’ll just have to see.
The American company is looking to move its product assembly line to Taiwan in order to diversify production risks and given what happened with the coronavirus outbreak, it’s a move that makes sense. This restructuring of its supply chain will reportedly start with the next generation iMac, iPad, Apple Watch and the aforementioned AirPods Pro Lite.
It’ll be interesting to see the price difference Apple places between its top of the line AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro Lite. Surely the difference will be enough to justify buying the Lite, right?! We’ll just have to see.
