After months of rumours, they’re finally here, putting speculations and “leaks” to rest. Gotta be honest, thought they never come. Not that I’m a huge Apple fan or anything. I only own 1 Apple product and a secondhand one at that.
Anyways, Apple has officially introduced the new AirPods Max Wireless Headphones! Applause! Applause! Even though I’m not much of an Apple fan but I gotta be honest, that looks sexy. The AirPods Max headphones are linked together with a stainless steel headband that is wrapped in a soft-touch material and also features a knitted mesh canopy.
AirPods Max is also equipped with a pair of custom 40 mm dynamic drivers, each accompanied by a dual neodymium ring magnet motor. Like the AirPods Pro, the Apple H1 chip is also present inside the new wireless headphones that power their key features, such as the Adaptive EQ, which measures and adjusts the real-time sound quality delivered to the user based on the fit and seal of the AirPods Max ear cushions.
Active Noise Cancellation feature is all the buzz now so does this headphones comes with it? You’ll be happy to know that the answer is yes. The new AirPods Max also comes with Active Noise Cancellation feature which utilises eight microphones that are located all over the headphones.
Interesting enough, AirPods Max are also equipped with a Digital Crown just like Apple Watch. On the headphones, it can be used to control volume as well as music playback, phone calls, and to activate Siri. Similar to other AirPods, putting the AirPods Max on will also automatically starts the audio playback.
How about battery life? Can’t listen to some tunes if your headphones dying too soon. Well, Apple claimed that the AirPods Max can provide a listening time of up to 20 hours with ANC or Transparency mode on.
Not sure about fast charging though (does any Apple product come with fast charging?) but it is said that you can listen to about an hour of music or entertainment after a 5 minute charge so I guess that’s okay. Also each AirPods Max are accompanied with a Smart Case that helped save their battery charge when not in use.
Available in Space Grey, Silver, Green, Sky Blue, and Pink, AirPods Max have a general shipping date of December 15 although the exact release date in Malaysia is not yet known at the moment but Apple has listed the new headphones on its Malaysian website for RM 2399.
