The US is the worst hit country when it comes to the Covid-19 pandemic and its partially due to the fact that there are a whole lot of Americans who still don’t think that wearing a mask is important or necessary. Of course, Trump is partially to blame here given that he’s been rather apprehensive about wearing one himself but still, the onus is on them.
Research has actually shown that masks slow down the spread of the virus and all signs point to masks being a good way to mitigate the impact of the pandemic. With that in mind, along with American peoples obsession with guns, one YouTuber has come up with a solution– A mask launcher that shoots masks unto peoples faces.. or at least attempts to.
YouTuber Allen Pan’s DIY mask launcher works kinda like a net gun, except the net is a mask and the target is almost always peoples faces. Using a brakeline, an 800 PSI CO2 canister, a solenoid valve, pistol grip and projectiles with magnets attached, Pan made his mask gun work.. well at least sort of work. The cords of the mask were a wee bit hard to wrap around peoples faces as you’ll see in the video.
Once Pan was satisfied with the gun, he took it for a test run on Huntington Beach, California where believe it or not, some people still weren’t wearing masks in spite of the fact that the state has 633,000 confirmed cases. Check out how his test run went in the video and let us know your thoughts on his mask gun!
