Among the new products are seven compute service and capabilities, two new hybrid services, Amazon AI services and Amazon Athena. Eliminating the worries of moving mainframe stored amount of information to the cloud that will take mere weeks instead of decades.

On the internet of things (IOT) front, suitable for embedded systems for small devices AWS GreenGrass was made available and is meant to simplify implementation for local processing as its able to collect, filter, and aggregate freshly collected data and then push it up to the cloud for long-term storage and further aggregation. Polly is an artificial intelligence application that converts text to lifelike speech which can be used by customers with their own tools and applications. Polly currently supports a total of 47 male & female voices spread across 24 languages, with additional languages and voices on the roadmap.

rekognitionawsImage recognition intelligence is another area AWS is expanding on, with current technology of image detection and deep learning mostly reserved for larger organisation due to being costly, Amazon is removing this barrier with Amazon Rekognition. Powered by deep learning and built by the Computer Vision team over the course of many years, this fully-managed service already analyses billions of images daily. It has been trained on thousands of objects and scenes. Demos are available for users to test drive and write codes that uses the API.

Echo now has a new family member with Amazon Lex, that can be used to build chat boxes and other types of web & mobile applications that support engaging, lifelike interactions. The bots can provide information, power your application, streamline work activities, or provide a control mechanism for robots, drones, and toys. Then publish Amazon Lex bot and let it process text or voice conversations with the users.

AWS with more than 70 major services is able to cater to a variety of needs for every customer whether you’re a building your blog page in your dormitory to NASA that require large data transfers of up to 100 PT of data a day from the satellites.
