Around two seems ago, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 had been confirmed to be releasing this year, and now, we’ve got our first looks at what could possibly be the Xiaomi Mi Band 5.
The images come from Slashleaks and admittedly, at first glance, I’m already doubting the validity of these images. The concept is too ridiculous to even consider, for me anyway, but who knows.
In the images, you can see an upgrade over the previous Mi Band 4, which featured a pretty big notch design. Now there’s a full oval screen with a weird punch-hole cut out with what seems to be a camera at the bottom of the screen? That’s essentially the main reason I can’t believe the leaks, but it’s a fun possibility which I think opens up the question to something more important.
Do the people want a fitness tracker with a camera?
Probably not. Take these leaks with a a HUGE spoon of salt, but who knows what this year brings. Other stuff the pictures show is a grey band strap for the ‘alleged’ Mi Band 5, so that’s something. Besides that, there ain’t really much, but a grim look at a possible dystopian future where cameras are everywhere.
