Alienware At Computex 2019 Debuts Their Thinnest Laptop Yet; The m17

Alienware m15 and m17 thin and lightweight gaming laptops designed from the ground up to optimise optional 9th generation Intel Core TM mobile CPUs, NVIDIA GTX 16 and 20 series GPUs, new display technologies and feature Alienware’s new design ID, Legend.

This year at Computex 2019, the new Alienware m15 and m17 as well as the Dell G3 15 are among Dell’s first gaming laptops to showcase a new design and processors that hope to ‘supercharge’ the PC gaming experience. Two Alienware branded headsets, several new display technologies and blue light reduction round out the offerings.

The Alienware m15 and m17 are built for gamers who prioritise mobility without compromising performance, by offering Intel processors and NVIDA GeForce GPUs. The m15 is the world’s first 15” laptop to feature Tobii eyetracking, and the m17 being the world’s first laptop to feature Eyesafe display designed to lower blue light emissions, while maintaining vivid colour integrity. They also come with 144Hz, 240Hz refresh rates and OLED displays.

There’s also the latest Alienware Cyro-Tech 3.0. This newly optimised thermal module design aims to improve colling performance by increasing airflow by 20% over the previous gen m15, and 25% on the m17. These setups also include an all magnesium chassis, narrow-bezels, re-engineered keyboard, SSD-only storage, and per key RGB LED AlienFX lighting. Not to mention, the m17 is touted to be Alienware’s thinnest 17″ laptop, with dimensions of 20.5 mm. x 295.5 mm. x 399.8 mm. and weighing 2.63 kgs. In comparison, thei Alienware 17 comes in at 29.9mm x 424mm x 332mm and weighs in at 4.42 kg. So, a definite upgrade over previous gen.
