Activision’s E3 2018 Lineup Features Black Ops 4, Destiny 2, and More

Publishers and developers are slowly revealing more of what they’re bringing to E3 2018. Activision represents one of the larger corporations making its annual return to the event. The publisher brings three demos to the show floor but also teases a few surprises.

Activision’s biggest unreleased game is currently Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. As such, E3 acts centre stage for the game’s first hands-on public gameplay, featuring new maps, weapons, and customisations. The game stands to offer its biggest Zombies offering yet and a new Battle Royale mode called Blackout.

Also present at the floor is Destiny 2: Forsaken, where fans can try out the latest 4v4 Gambit mode. The mode merges PvP and PvE to offer a new way to play and compete in Destiny 2. This upcoming expansion also brings a new region, new powers, and new weapons for players to enjoy.

Lastly a remake of the original three Spyro platformers, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, will also be around for nostalgia lovers. Aside from the faithful recreation of maps, developer Toys for Bob updates the controls for a modern audience.

Of course, Activision isn’t showing all of its cards just yet. Expect to see a few surprises, including Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy news, next week.

“Activision’s E3 2018 slate is all about giving fans what they want – hands-on experiences with their most-beloved game franchises,” says Activision CMO Tim Ellis. “Call of Duty: Black Ops III delivers gritty, grounded, all-out combat in an incredibly deep multiplayer experience that players can jump into at the show; Destiny 2: Forsaken invites players to experience the frenetic pace of the all-new four-versus-four mode, Gambit; Spyro Reignited Trilogy gives fans first hands-on gameplay with the totally remastered experience; and there’s more exciting news still to be announced!”

Since Sony is partnering with Activision for Black Ops 4, you can expect to see the game at Sony’s press conference. This happens on 12th June 2018, 9am GMT+8.
