Ever since Microsoft release its latest OS, the Windows 10, we have seen a slew of PCs coming out equipped and ready to boast all the great feature of the new PC software.
Now, Acer debuts its slew of refreshed devices for 2016, at the joint event in Taipei recently, Acer together with Microsoft showcased a range of products including two new Windows 10 devices; the Aspire R 14 convertible notebook and the Aspire Z3-700 portable all-in-one PC. These devices are made to give users the best experience from Windows 10.
As Terry Myerson, Executive VP of the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft says: “With Cortana, the personal assistant that helps you get things done, Continuum, which enables Windows Phones to act like a PC when paired with a larger display, great gaming with Xbox and our new browser Microsoft Edge, we are excited to welcome these Acer devices to the Windows 10 family.”
Both devices feature Acer Purified.Voice with dual-digital microphone and enhanced digital signal processing (DSP) that cancel background noise and improve speech accuracy. This will take the Cortana experience to the next level.
Acer also makes the devices with Acer TrueHarmony Plus technology with Dolby Audio to provide a powerful audio and immersive surround, which will guarantee better Windows 10 audio and visual experience.
Furthermore, Acer BluelightShield on the PC will reduce eye strain by decreasing blue light emission from the screen.
Design-wise, the Aspire R 14 has a new hairline-brush metallic finish, diamond-cut edge design and a thinner 360 degrees dual torque hinge, which provides amazing flexibility between four usage modes. This functionality will be great when paired with Continuum. Plus, the notebook is powered by 6th Gen Intel Core processors with up to 8GB DDR3L system memory and SSD storage.
On the other hand, the Aspire Z3-700 features two kick stands that allow it to stand or lay flat like a jumbo tablet. It has a chassis of just 15.6mm slim and 2kg light. The 17.3″ PC is powered by Intel Pentium or Celeron processors with up to 8GB DDR3L system memory and SSD or HDD storage option.
In addition, Acer demonstrated the Liquid Jade Primo smartphone, since revealing it by showcasing Continuum on Windows 10 at IFA 2015. The 5.5-inch smartphone with Windows 10 mobile provides ultimate productivity for professionals through Continuum, allowing Windows 10 universal apps to provide a PC-like experience when the device is connected with a secondary display.
