If you’re a fan of Anime, boy do I got some news for you. Everyone who’s a real OG anime fan will appreciate this site I’m about to tell you about. RetroCrush is a new digital streaming service that is “devoted to streaming classic anime TV and movies” and will include more than 100 series and 40 features at launch.
And considering that the meager anime selection on (legit) streaming services such as Netflix or Crunchyroll in Malaysia, it’s a welcome service. I mean, Crunchyroll in Malaysia might as well be nonexistent. There’s barely any anime on there. Netflix is a little better though, and hosts a variety of popular shounen and classics anime, but not to RetroCrush’s level.
Plus, did I mention it’s free?
RetroCrush will be available for free starting March 30th, though there will be ads but I’m willing to take that sacrifice. There will also be apps for iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Smart TVS, and will be available at www.retrocrush.tv. The platform will be focusing on classic animes from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s with a curated approach by Will Chao and Mary Gibson, with Selin Kilic and John Stack providing acquisitions support.
To me, it’s just another place to stream anime, and based on first impressions, the app looks easy to use, and has quite the selection. Check out their site to get their app!
