Users within SOHO and SME environments take note, Canon is about to introduce 5 new additions to its own imageCLASS monochrome laser multi-function printers (MFPs) to the market. These new introductions include 3 different 3-in-1 models – the MF211, the MF212w and the MF221d, as well as 2 4-in-1 models – the MF215 and MF217w.

All the new printers have a fast printing speed, with the MF211, MF212w, MF215 and MF217w boasting a print speed of 23 pages per minute (ppm) for A4-sized documents while the MF221d boasts a print speed of 27ppm. Further enhancing the printing speed of these printers is the presence of Canon’s own On-Demand Fixing Technology and the powerful UFR II  LT print language, allowing the printers to achieve a quick First Print Out Time (FPOT) of six seconds while the switch from Sleep to Standby Mode requires only 2 seconds. Print quality has been enhance as the latest in the imageCLASS MFPs have an output of 1200 x 1200 dpi print resolution and 9600 x 9600 dpi colour scan resolution.

To make the printers as user friendly as possible, the MF211, MF212w and MF221d models sports a 5-line LCD interface while the MF215 and MF217w sports a 6-line monochrome LCD touch-screen user interface. Access to scan and copy configurations such as Paper Save Copy and Scan to PC functions are made easier and quicker with Canon’s One-Touch Solution keys. Versatility is further boosted in the MF212w and MF217w models as they come with wired LAN and wireless connectivity. Besides Canon’s own Mobile Printing application, these printers are also compatible with Apple AirPrint or Mopria to print wirelessly from their mobile devices.
