Huawei introduces the latest Honor smartphones with great fanfare.

It has been a year since Huawei’s Honor series of smartphones made landfall in Malaysia. To celebrate that occasion, Huawei threw a grand party at the Symphony Lake Suite in KLCC while simultaneously launching the Honor 6 Plus.

This latest offering from Huawei is 1.85mm in thickness while spotting a 5.5″ Full HD LCD screen that is encased in Gorilla Glass 3, giving the Honor 6 Plus a 78.2% screen-to-body ratio. Powering this slim smartphone is the Octa-core 1.8 GHz Kirin 925 and 3GB of RAM. It supports LTE Cat6 and has an internal memory of 32GB, which is expendable up to 128GB thanks to its microSD slot.

One part of the phone that was emphasized heavily by Huawei is the Honor 6 Plus’s camera. The highly unique 2x8MP bionic parallel eagle eye camera works symmetrically to focus faster and capture in-depth details with double light sensors that provide a 60% increase in light sensitivity for excellent image performance in environments with weak light, giving the Honor 6 Plus “The King Of Nightshots” moniker. This is backed up with a 3600 mAh battery that comes with SmartPower 2.5 technology that improves the phone’s power conservation by 30%.

Alongside the Honor 6 Plus, Huawei has also revealed their plans to bring the Honor 4C into Malaysia as well. Sporting a 1.2GHz Octa-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 5MP front camera, this direct upgrade to the Honor 3C will be launched simultaneously in China and Malaysia.

For those interested in either models, sales of the smartphones will begin on April 29th at 3.08pm onwards. The Honor 6 Plus is priced at RM 1,399 while the Honor 4C retails for RM 529.
