I have been using the Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 10 for more than a month as my main laptop. This one comes with the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5070 GPU 8GB GDDR7, 32GB DDR5 6400 MT/s RAM and a 16-inch OLED panel. Specs look powerful on paper, but what matters is how it performs in real work and daily use. During this time I used it mostly for video processing, writing, browsing and some gaming. Here is what stood out.
The Screen Pulls You In
The 16-inch OLED display is one of the best parts of this laptop. Colours are sharp and accurate, brightness is strong and motion feels smooth thanks to the 240Hz refresh rate. For design work and content, it really makes a difference. I found it easier to spot details when working on AI video edits or even basic design checks. The only drawback is how pure blacks behave. In bright rooms the screen reflects like a mirror, which can be distracting. Still, this screen is one of the highlights of the Legion 7i.

Strong for Heavy Work
Most of my time with the Legion was spent on processing AI videos for the LiveAtPC Reader’s Choice Awards and BusinessToday’s Industry Choice Awards. The Legion 7i handled rendering far quicker than regular laptops or workbooks. It made the job smoother and saved a lot of waiting time. For daily writing and browsing, it is more than fast enough.
Gaming was also smooth when I tested it at high settings and resolutions. The laptop can push modern games with good frame rates. Here, the Intel® Core™ HX processor really shines. With dedicated Performance and Efficiency Cores, the hybrid architecture ensures background tasks are managed by Intel® Thread Director, freeing up system resources for maximum FPS in-game. Combined with the Lenovo AI Engine+ powered by the LA AI Core, this results in faster performance whether gaming or creating content.
Fan Noise is Hard to Miss
When the laptop is under load the fans become very loud. In a quiet office I had to use headphones, otherwise the noise would distract me and also colleagues nearby. Heat is also noticeable on the keyboard area and the underside after long rendering sessions or gaming. It never became unsafe or too much to handle, but you will feel it. For lighter workloads like browsing or writing the fans stay quiet and the laptop runs cooler.

Day to Day Use
The build quality feels solid. The Glacier White finish is striking but not my personal preference. White looks nice at first but in the long run I think black is safer since stains and marks will be less visible. The weight is on the heavy side, which is normal for a gaming laptop. Carrying it every day is not as easy as lighter ultrabooks.
The keyboard is excellent. It is comfortable for long typing sessions and the per key RGB lighting is flexible. Speakers are loud and clear enough for calls or content, and the 5MP webcam with microphones is good for meetings.
One small thing I do not enjoy is the number of proprietary apps. To control fans, lighting or performance modes you need to go into Lenovo software. It works but adds extra steps.
Battery and Charging
The 84Wh battery holds up decently for light use like browsing, writing and video calls. It can last several hours this way. But when rendering or gaming the battery drains fast, so this laptop is best used plugged in for heavy workloads. The 245W charger powers it quickly and USB-C charging is handy when travelling or for lighter sessions.
Verdict
After more than a month of use the Legion 7i Gen 10 has been stable and powerful. It handles AI video processing, creative work and games without slowing down. The OLED screen is a big advantage for design and content, and the keyboard is great for work. The downsides are fan noise, heat under heavy load, and the overall weight. For me those are not dealbreakers because the performance and reliability outweigh them. Powered by the latest Intel® Core™ HX processors and supported by the Lenovo AI Engine+, this is a laptop made for creators and gamers who need consistent power and can live with the trade-offs.
