“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” has made an early debut on Disney+ and Hulu, arriving one night earlier than its initially scheduled premiere on December 20.

This unexpected move follows another recent update to the show’s release strategy, where it was revealed that the first episode would not only premiere on Disney+ but also on Hulu, remaining available for streaming until January 31.

As of now, the first two episodes are accessible on Disney+, while the initial episode is ready for viewing on Hulu.

Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Disney+, leading up to the Season 1 finale on January 31.

Expressing gratitude to the dedicated Percy Jackson fanbase, Pamela Levine, head of marketing at Disney Branded Television and National Geographic Content, stated, “We’re so grateful for the amazing and dedicated Percy Jackson fans who have enthusiastically supported this project from the very beginning. They’ve been counting down the days, and as a special thank you, we wanted to let our fans enjoy the first two episodes a bit earlier than expected.”

The “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series has been highly anticipated by fans, with Rick Riordan himself serving as a writer and executive producer on the Disney+ production.

Originally a five-book series, the adaptation aims to cover each of the novels across five seasons.

Riordan’s involvement in the project is seen as a positive shift from the earlier film adaptations, which faced criticism for plot changes and deviations from the source material.
