Siti Bainun, Founder Of Rumah Bonda Faces Noticeable Weight Loss During Court Appearance

The courtroom was abuzz with attention as Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, the founder of Rumah Bonda, made her appearance at the High Court in Kuala Lumpur today. What caught the eyes of everyone present was the noticeable weight loss of the 31-year-old, who has been undergoing a significant transformation during her time in prison.

Reports indicate that when Siti Bainun first entered the legal proceedings on May 3, she weighed approximately 150 kilograms. However, her current weight stands at 90 kilograms, signifying a remarkable drop of 60 kilograms in just six months. The founder of Rumah Bonda, who is serving a 12-year prison sentence at Kajang Prison, attracted attention not only for her legal case but also for her physical transformation.

Dressed in a pink dress, Siti Bainun was escorted to court by prison officials, maintaining a composed demeanor as she exchanged greetings with family members and friends, all clad in white attire.

The legal saga unfolded on May 3 when the Sessions Court sentenced Siti Bainun to 12 years in prison after being found guilty of neglecting and abusing a teenager with Down syndrome named Bella. The incidents occurred at a condominium in Wangsa Maju between February and June 2021. Alongside the prison term, the court ordered Siti Bainun to sign a good behavior bond for five years with a RM5,000 collateral.

Additionally, she was mandated to complete 200 hours of community service within six months after serving her prison sentence. Notably, her appeal for a suspension of the prison sentence was denied by the High Court on May 23, citing the absence of exceptional circumstances warranting her release pending the appeal process.

Siti Bainun’s weight loss has become a subject of discussion, adding a new dimension to the ongoing legal proceedings. As she continues her journey through the justice system, the case remains a focal point, both for the severity of the charges and the noticeable physical changes observed in the founder of Rumah Bonda.
