Today, the Ministry of Health identified 17 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,872 with 1,247 active cases as of May 16.

73 new cases have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 5512.

There are currently 13 cases being treated in the ICU, with five cases on ventilation support.

The MoH also reported one new death as of May 16, raising Malaysia’s death toll to Covid-19 at 113.
