Internet of Things, or IoT, is LG’s focus in CES 2015. IoT can connect everything we value, which in itself is a valuable concept as consumers these days are highly connected and glued to their many devices. LG believes that innovating on IoT products is the way to enrich the lives of its customers.

The first step to IoT is to connect the things we commonly use. LG believes that the key is in “Platforms, Connectivity, and Ecosystem,” and intends to one day interconnect LG’s other platforms like its Wellness platform, home automation, or smart cars. The company has started with the new and improved webOS version 2.0 continuing as the platform for its smart TVs, now with a lot of enhancements and room for personalisation thanks to “My Channels”.

LG Head of New Product Development, Tim Alessi, also talked extensively about the company’s confidence in OLED TV technology. The Korean electronics giant is the first to introduce the technology and now wants to be the first to offer affordable OLED models. To accomplish this, LG has invested 600 million US dollars in OLED production. For news on LG’s new slew of OLED 4K TVs, check out https://liveatpc.com/lg-oled-in-nevada/.

Then there’s LG’s worst kept secret of CES 2015: LG G Flex 2. This new curved smartphone is powered by the powerful octa-core Snapdragon 810, with a more suitable size at 5.5in and a less exaggerated bend to it, compared to the first G Flex. There’s more as the G Flex 2 features a 1080p display (still OLED), the Optical Image Stabilisation from the G3, an improved self-healing case, and our favourite – Android Lollipop 5.0.

LG’s keynote speakers also spoke on smart cars, LG Music Flow, and home appliances.
