Google is beginning to relegating some of the poorly behaved Android apps and will make it harder for users to find them in the Google Play Store.
According to the Google Play Product Manager, Andrew Ahn: “We have recently enhanced our search and discovery algorithms to reflect app quality. This will allow higher quality apps to easily ‘surface’ against other apps of lower quality in the Play Store.”
Those “lower quality apps” mentioned refers to the apps that seems to crash frequently, causing dissatisfaction among users. Ahn also offers some tips to programmers on making their apps snappy, goes easy on the batteries and are more stable when running.
Users can do their part in bringing forth those apps by giving them a one-star rating on the Google Play Store, because Google is watching which apps are getting low ratings.
