Netflix have arguably been one of the biggest killers of cable and network television, and we’re using TVs differently from we have before. Now we rely on the internet, and streaming services more than we realise. And for that, you’ve got to have a good setup to run it at peak efficiency. And that’s where this list comes into play. After a long day, you just want to get on the couch and put something on and get something to eat. Things loading slowly, buffering, and other issues can happen. It can make what should be a relaxing time, frustrating.
They usually put out their recommendations for smart TVs every year. These TVs are the top performers for their app, and is the easiest to use for Netflix and ultimately, other streaming services. And this year they’ve made it somewhat harder to get on the list. The companies they’re recommending are models from Samsung, Sony and Panasonic.
When you see the “Netflix Recommended TV” logo, it means the TV has passed rigorous testing to ensure great performance and easy access to Netflix and other services.
In order to receive the designation, the TV must meet 5 out of 7 criteria.
The biggest change in criteria this year is the introduction of a feature called Always Fresh. This feature ensures that while the TV is “sleeping,” Netflix is still awake. The TV will refresh Netflix in the background, so that the next time you want to watch, it’s ready to go and makes things just that little bit snappier.
These TVs are therefore capable of doing this;
● Access Netflix within just a few seconds.
● Switch quickly and easily between other apps.
● Get the latest version of Netflix.
● Receive the newest features for a better browsing experience.
Here are the initial designations of 2019 Netflix Recommended TVs:
