Gaming scene in the country is about to receive another boost when The Major League Dota 2 tournament takes place in Iskandar Puteri where teams from across the region converge to grab RM300,000 in prize money.

Hosted by the Livescape Group in collaboration with Beatnation and sponsored by Celcom,  the event is scheduled to take place on 20 October to 22 October held at EduCity at the indoor arena Johor Baharu. Team announcement their participation include, Ehome of China; Evos of Indonesia; Clutch of Philippines and MVP Revolution of Kyrgyzstan; while the three remaining teams will be announced soon. Similar eSports tournament are taking place simultaneously across the states and is quickly becoming a popular interest among both ardent players and watchers.

The Major League Qualifier will hold the qualifying rounds at participating cyber café outlets such as Apple Dream Net, Orange ESports, Blitzone, Digital Fortress, and The Pantheon; while The Major League Qualifier Final Round will be held at the Academy of Esports in Afiniti Medini, Iskandar Puteri.
