Samsung Showcases Impressive 5G Innovation at MWC19

Hot of the heels launching the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy S10 series smartphones, DJ Koh President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung will head over to Spain to show off his new Galaxy S10 5G device, as the exhibition there will centre around the next long term evolution in mobile connectivity.

“For more than 35 years, we’ve led the industry in new hardware and services that have helped to revolutionize the consumer experience. At MWC this year, we’re showcasing the remarkable breadth of our expanding connected ecosystem, from game-changing 5G end-to-end solutions to outstanding new additions to the Galaxy family such as Galaxy Fold and Galaxy S10 5G.” he said at the opening.

Samsung is not about to give the lead in 5G away to its nearest competitor who has been relentless in pushing the 5G agenda, the company was after all the first to deliver gigabit speed, the first 5G handover between multiple cells, and now the first 5G smartphone. With 5G connectivity, users using a compatibel device can access network speeds up to roughly 20 times faster than current networks, enabling elevated mobile experience like powerful hot-spotting, hyper-fast streaming, 4K video-calls and next-level mobile gaming.

At MWC this year, Samsung goes on to show the world its company is not just about mobile devices and processors, it has expanded the ecosystem with wearables, tablets and slew of new products that will be powered by 5G. Visitors will get their hands on the Galaxy Fold, the new Galaxy A50 and A30, Active Watch and Galaxy Buds to name a few. In addition, Samsung will show its new next generation 5G Radio Frequency (RF) chipsets, supporting 28GHz and 39GHz. Using these new RF chipsets, base stations will be approximately 25 percent smaller, lighter and less power consuming compared to previous iterations. Incidentally, Samsung is the only company to deploy and provide 5G end-to-end solutions in the U.S. and Korea.
