You Can Now Purchase Tickets to The International 8

With the new Dota 2 Pro Circuit well underway, we are now one step closer to The International 8 (TI8) as tickets will go on sale come 24 March 2018. This will also be only the second time TI will be played outside of the United States with the first ever TI being played during Gamescon in Cologne, Germany. Valve will be replacing the usual KeyArena in Seattle, Washington for the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.

TI8 will begin on Monday, 20th August 2018 until Saturday, 25 August 2018. As for ticket sales, there are two types of tickets available. The Midweek ticket will cost CA$125 (approx. RM375.61) and will grant you attendance on the first four days of the event 20 – 23 August). The Finals ticket will set you back CA$250 (approx. RM751.21) and will grant you access on the final two days on 24 and 25 August.

Tickets will start selling on 24 March 2018 at 1.00am and 1.00pm in Singapore time.

As of right now, Virtus.pro (VP) is the only team who are already confirmed an invitation to TI8 after taking the gold at both ESL One Katowice 2018 and the PGL Bucharest Major. VP currently have a total of 7,197 points while Team Liquid come in second at only 4,635. Unfortunately for the TI7 champs, they will need to do a lot more to ensure they keep their top 8 spot.

Other teams in the top 8 include:

  • 3rd – Team Secret (4,260 points)
  • 4th – Newbee (2,175 points)
  • 5th – Vici Gaming (2,160 points)
  • 6th – VGJ.Thunder (1,485 points)
  • 7th – Natus Vincere (1,109 points)
  • 8th – Evil Geniuses (975 points)

Unfortunately, Mineski, Fnatic and TNC Pro Team are well below the pecking order, sitting at ninth, 11th and 13th respectively. While Mineski does have the most points as compared to the other two, they have been under performing as of late.
