Months after announcing this feature, a leak of Windows 10 build 14997 showed ‘Blue light settings’ in the app. Of course, f.lux is a free 3rd party app that has been doing the same thing for years, but it’s good to see Microsoft taking the problem seriously.
It’ll probably be a while before it comes to a stable version of Windows 10. Expect one in the next Insider Preview. Blue light exists on the tip of the visible spectrum, just ‘next’ to its dangerous cousin UV light. A little is OK, but spending hours in front of a screen that emits blue light be bad for you, especially at night.
