Have you ever been stuck in a meeting and thought ‘this could be a lot faster without that old-school whiteboard’? Well if you have, then you’re in luck! Samsung are officially launching the new Samsung Flip. It’s a digital flip chart, allowing professionals to collaborate and work on projects without the need for a bunch of pens, papers, charts as well as rulers. This is part of Samsung’s commitment towards a paperless future, the ‘workplace of the future’.

Samsung hopes it’s digital flip chart can allow all voices as well as ideas to be heard, as it features the ability for multi-user engagement. You could use either your finger or a dual-sided pen to work on the board. On top of that, you can connect a PC as well as smartdevices to the display. An integrated screen-sharing feature means what’s on the Samsung Flip can be seen on your device too. At the same time, you can display what’s on your device onto the Samsung Flip’s screen. There’s up to 20 pages of writing space so you can scribble away without worrying about running out of paper. As meetings end, you can save all the data on the board to a central database; this helps prevent cumbersome recaps of previous meetings. You could also email the data to others without hassle, or save it to a flash drive.

It comes as a 55″ 60Hz E-LED panel, with a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. Connectivity options for the Samsung Flip include a HDMI port, two USB 2 slots, NFC, and  touch input. A CA72 Quad 1.7GHz processor, 3GB RAM and a Linux-based Samsung propriety OS powers the flip board. The Samsung Flip’s touch screen works thanks to Inglass Technology, providing a touch response time of just 38-46 milliseconds. You could also flip it around – hence the name – to get a portrait-position board instead of the usual landscape. This means you can maximise space, especially in small offices. Alternatively, a more roundtable-like meeting means you can place the flip board onto a wall.
