5G Smartphones Are Old News; 5G Tablets Could Be On Its Way Sooner Than You Thought

While everyone seems to be making 5G smartphones, it seems that Samsungs beat everyone out the the punch in terms of tablet connectivity. Yes, that’s right, a 5G tablet! If true, the device would the first ever 5G enabled tablet, and based on what we’re seeing, it’s pretty true. Samsung have listed the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G on their Galaxy Academy page where they basically promote their products.

The odd thing is that no other specs or even the pricing has been revealed, but we’re guessing it’s similar to the current non-5G variant. There’s been some stuff to figure out what kind of specs it’s got, but it might be a longshot. There’s been a device that carries the model number T866N, and it’s surfaced a couple of times during the certification process. With what we know of other 5G capable Samsung devices, there should be some bumps to the cameras, as well as a larger battery for the extra energy consumption from 5G.

But for now, all we’ve got to go on is the current gen Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. Right now, the device in Malaysia costs RM3099, has a 10.5″ WQXGA Super AMOLED display paired with a Snapdragon 855 processor. It also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB for Storage.

No other news about the device, but it’s probably going to release in South Korea first, so stay tuned for further announcements. Because this is definitely not going to be the last 5G device we’ll be seeing as of recent times.
