159KM Of Brisk-Walking To Kota A Famosa, “Updating My Journey Is More Tiring Than Completing It.”

Recently, Mr Manu Ram went viral on X as @r00dran, as he showed a remarkable feat of determination, by embarking on an awe-inspiring journey covering over 159 kilometers  from Kota Damansara, Selangor to Kota A Famosa, Melaka on foot.

Along the way in completing his on foot journey, he decided to update the result of his spontaneous action on his X account. “I just suddenly got this idea when I was showering. After 48 hours of having that thought, I am ready to walk to the destination.” He stated when we asked the origin of this idea of walking to Kota A Famosa, Melaka.

Having 0 training in preparation to go for such an extensive journey on foot, Mr Manu said he was motivated by the thought of feeling tired doing something cliche. “I want to do something exceptional.”

It is more remarkable to learn that along his 159 kilometers journey, Mr Manu has never thought of giving up, going back, or cheating on himself. No grabs, motorcycles, buses, just plain “brisk-walking” all the way to Kota A Famosa, a place that this history enthusiast adores so much that he decided to make this place as the destination of his spontaneous journey.

Inquiring the most challenging thing he faced along the way, he said it is the mental aspect. He also mentioned, he already doubted himself on the first day he went along with his intrusive thought of going to Kota A Famosa by walking. But he said, each time he will sit down, take a rest and continue his journey.

We believe his words of wisdom will be helpful for most of us, as living our daily life requires us to face a lot of hurdles. Hence, it is not wrong for us to take a breather once in a while before continuing our journey.

Mr Manu also mentioned that the best lesson learnt from his journey is, our country is indeed a beautiful country. His words are proven by the pictures that he posted on his X account. His update regarding his journey also can be read on his X account.

“I will definitely take this journey again, and I want to reach a further destination compared to this.” The interview ended with his declaration of walking to venture to other places in Malaysia.
