XtremeMac does not need any introduction if you are an Apple product user. The company, which specialises in iPhone and iPod docks more than anything else, has recently released another model in the form of the Tango TRX.
Tango in Black
In terms of looks, the Tango TRX’s is pretty standard as far as iPod docks are concerned. Decked in a black prism-like chassis, the Tango TRX features a dock for your i-device of choice, five buttons that include the play/pause, bass, treble, volume and power buttons. A unified control knob is placed in front of the nylon mesh speaker grills, and the knob changes the levels of the corresponding buttons that you press.
The TRX Tango comes with a set of rubber stoppers that allow you to use a wide range of i-products with the dock. You can use the iPod Touch, Classic and Nano with it, and not only that, you can dock an iPad on it as well! The dock doubles as a battery-charger, so you won’t ever run the risk of running out of batteries when using the dock for an extended period of time, and in fact, your batteries will be charged for doing so.
To use the TRX Tango properly however, you will need to download the device app from the App Store for free. The app allows you to control the dock directly from your i-device, and also doubles as an alarm clock app. The media player app allows you to browse your media playlist just like how you would on a standard iPod.
The sound quality of the TRX Tango is what you would expect out of a well-known brand such as XtremeMac. Due to the fact that the bass and treble levels can be easily adjusted, the dock’s sound quality can easily be modified to suit your liking, be it with extra strong bass, or increased clarity.
The TRX Tango also comes with a small remote control that allows you to play/pause, change volume levels, skip tracks and adjust levels for bass and treble. It’s quite nifty to use if you don’t want to have to go over to the dock to change the music or adjust the volume every now and then.
The best part about the TRX Tango is that it fits a wide number of spaces, be it in the living room, bedroom and even the kitchen. All you need is a power outlet to plug the power socket into, and you’re set!
