Turning every flat surface into a tablet is what Xperia Touch is capable of, since its launch in June the device from Sony has received rave reviews and feedback’s on what users would want to see it do.

Among the wish list was more gesture control, once the images or video projected it would be nice to more the slides or pause a video with just a wave of the hand. Well, with the latest firmware upgrade Android 7.1, the Xperia Touch can now do just that. The upgrade allows the interface to accept commands using physical gestures, by raising the hand the device will understand you’re about to use Gesture control and open up access to navigate menus, control video or music and even mute by holding the finger to the lips. The new yeystone setting can help deal with any potential distortion. In addition to the auto-focus, there’s a new manual Focus setting to keep projections sharp and clear.

Other enhancements include, with a presence sensor the wall only mode can now work on tables supports ALAC and FLAC audio files.
