Plenty of companies have pulled out of the Mobile World Congress because of the Coronavirus outbreak, but Xiaomi is still adamant and is set to hold their global launch event in Barcelona on February 23rd for their Mi 10 flagships series. But, for their Chinese launch, they’ve now come out to announce that there’ll be an online-only event on February 13th, and with that, a some official renders of the Mi 10 too. The renders popped up on Weibo, and shows off the design which inadvertently confirms some of the specs of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship.

The first official render was shared by Xiaomi on Weibo and features the curved display and super thin bezels on the top of the Mi 10. The rear features four camera sensors, an LED flash, and what seems to be their 108MP main sensor. If you squint, you can see the writing on the render.

But then again, there was another leak from a tipster on Weibo who showed off the Mi 10 5G. This rendr had a bit more information which seems to confirm the 108MP camera with 8K video recording capabilities, 50x zoom, and “balanced stereo”speakers. Oh, and it’ll be the Xiaomi’s first device with a Snapdragon 865 chipset. It says that on the picture, I Google Translated it.

But that’s not all we know about the phone. Last week, Micron confirmed that the Mi 10 series will be the first Xiaomi phones to have the LPDDR5 RAM which means the device will perform faster. It also is rumoured that the Mi 10 Pro will come with up to 16GB of RAM, 120Hz AMOLED display and a humongous 5250mAh battery with 65W charging. These are less so substantiated, so take these rumours with a grain of salt. But overall, the Mi 10 series is looking to be quite a performer. Hopefully it’ll be able to live up to the hype after the China launch on 13th February 2020.
