Xiaomi To Launch Mi9 During Live Stream On April 3

Hot on the heels of the release of their Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 7 models in Malaysia, Xiaomi have now finally revealed the exact launch date for their flagship model, the Mi 9.

In what is set to be a blockbuster start to the month of April, the company have revealed that the snapdragon 855 powered device will be launched on the 3rd of April at 9:00 p.m in an event that will be streamed live on their Facebook page. With Huawei launching their flagship P30 in Malaysia just a day before and HONOR releasing a triple camera phone on the 3rd as well, consumers sure are in for a treat.

Whispers of its launch price being set at RM1999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant remains just that, as no official word on how much it will cost has been released as of yet. There has also been no word on whether the Malaysian market will be getting any of the other Mi 9 variants so we will have to wait and see.

However, Xiaomi have teased that the transparent casing Alita edition of the phone could be one of the variants that is brought down. The teaser photo for the launch post on their Facebook page features a red ring around its rear camera, identical to the one in the Alita model.

With the launch being just a few days away, it’s only a matter of time before we know for sure so stay tuned for more updates on the Mi9.
