Xiaomi Malaysia have officially launched their latest Mi smartphone series, the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. This will be a first for Xiaomi, as the Mi 10 series is their first 5G-ready out of the box devices.
Starting from May 1, Mi 10 will retail starting from RM 2,799 and Mi 10 Pro will retail at RM 3,899. In addition, pre-order promotions for the new smartphones with amazing smart hardware gifts will also be available from April 22-30.
Camera

While both devices are pretty similar, their camera setups is where the main differences lie. The Mi 10 Pro comes with a quad-cam setup of 108MP main lens with 1/1.33” sensor, 20MP ultra wide angle lens, and two telephoto lenses of 12MP and 8 MP. This allows for a 2x zoom, and up to 50x zoom with OIS-stabilised long-range zoom lens.
The Mi 10 on the other hand, has a quad-camera setup with the same 108MP main lens, 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macros lens.
For video though, the Mi 10 Pro is capable of UHD 8K 30fps video recording with multiple unique video modes including – portrait video, colour focus, ShootSteady, and more.
Display & Design

Both devices in the Mi 10 series feature a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED edge-to-edge DotDisplay with TrueColor technology. Adding to that is a 90Hz SmoothSync display which allows for a faster and fluid screen response. Both devices are TÜV Rheinland low blue-light certified, and verified by HDR10+ for their vivid visual experience.

Both Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 sport a 3D curved front and back with smooth contoured edges and slim side bezels to
enable the Mi series’ most comfortable in-hand feel yet. To ensure durability, both devices are outfitted
with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back. Mi 10 Pro flaunts an anti-glare finish and frosted
glass rear panel, while Mi 10 offers a glossy back.
Performance

Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 feature the latest 5G-enabled flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G Mobile Platform. Enhancing CPU, GPU, AI performance and the overall user experience, the 7nm chipset features a maximum clock speed of 2.84GHz with the new Kyro 585 based on the ARM Cortex-A77 architecture, and also touts improvements in power-efficiency. The chipset is also accompanied by LPDDR5 RAM and UFS3.0 storage for a speedier, more powerful device.
Catering to the increasing demand for high speed content consumption in the 5G era, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 also supports 5G MultiLink for simultaneous connection to three networks (2.4G/5G Wi-Fi and mobile data) at once for quick connection switching. Additionally, both devices feature Wi-Fi 6 support.
Battery
Under the hood, Mi 10 Pro packs a 4,500mAh battery that enables a triple fast charging experience with 50W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Mi 10 sports a 4,780mAh battery and offers 30W wired and wireless charging, as well as reverse wireless charging.
Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 also offer multifunctional NFC and IR blaster for payment transactions and quick remote control of home appliances.
Pricing and Availability
Starting from 1st May 2020, Mi 10 series will be available both online via the official Xiaomi Malaysia Lazada store as well as offline at Authorised Mi Stores in Malaysia.
Mi 10 will be available in two versions. The 8GB + 128GB version will retail for RM 2,799 whereas the 8GB + 256GB version will retail for RM 2,999. Mi 10 will be available in Twilight Grey and Coral Green.
As for the Mi 10 Pro, it will be available in 8GB + 256GB version and will retail for RM 3,899. In terms of colour options, Mi 10 Pro will be available in Alpine White and Solstice Grey.
