Western Digital announces its achievement of hitting 4 million downloads for its WD My Cloud mobile app – a platform that allows users to remotely connect to their My Cloud for photo viewing, video streaming, and file accessing from anywhere on their smartphones and tablets.
To ride on the popularity wave and make the experience better for all, WD released its newest WD Cloud operating software (OS) version 1.5, providing the latest in WD My Cloud device firmware as well as updates for the WD My Cloud mobile app. This updated app introduces improved media navigation, file viewing, and search features. Free upgrades are available on the full site of My Cloud products including My Cloud, My Cloud Mirror, My Cloud EX2 and My Cloud EX4.
The WD Cloud OS 1.5 upgrade also helps unite major public cloud services such as Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive from just one app. This means you can access all your favourite digital content anytime, anywhere via your iOS or Android devices.
The WD My Cloud mobile app is readily available for download for free from the App Store and Google Play store.
