It feels as though it’s only been a short while ago that Vivo stunned everyone with the prototype Vivo Apex. The Vivo Apex was amazing, with a bezelless display and a pop up camera. The guys at Vivo must’ve successfully managed to improve it, as there’s now a commercial version; the Vivo Nex.
There will be two main variants of the Vivo Nex. The first version, the Vivo Nex A, comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset powering it. The Snapdragon 710 version comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Going up the price list, you’d find a Vivo Nex S with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 under the hood. The more powerful version comes with 8GB of RAM and your choice of either 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Furthermore, both variants will have a dual lens camera setup on the rear. That will have a 12MP main sensor plus a secondary 5MP sensor. As for the popup camera, that’s a 8MP f/2.0 sensor for your selfies. The screen meanwhile is a 6.59″ bezelless display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. On top of that, Vivo are also packing a 4000mAh battery into the device.
As far as we know, the Vivo Nex A will be priced at RMB3839 (approx. RM2394). Meanwhile, it’s slightly more powerful sibling the Vivo Nex S will be priced at RMB4498 (approx. RM2805) and RMB4998 (approx. RM3117) for the 128GB and 256GB variant respectively.
It’s only available in China for now, but you can guarantee we’ll be ready to update you on any new updates.
