In October we were told that Vine would be shutting down. This got a lot of users very upset. Now, however, it seems Vine will survive. The catch: it’s not even the same app anymore.

What will happen is this: the Vine app will essentially become the ‘Vine Camera’ – which shoots the same 6 second looped videos. These videos can either be posted to Twitter or saved on your phone (presumably, you’ll be able to share these later).

Well, at least it’s not disappearing completely, right?
