Another highly-anticipated product, Google introduces the Google Pixelbook. Essentially a high-performance Google Chromebook, the Pixelbook is a 4-in-1 device that aims to make your life better, easier and simpler.
The Pixelbook is the thinnest and lightest laptop from Google, weighing at only 1.1kg and only 10.3mm thick when closed. It’s main feature is its versatility; you can use it as a regular laptop, prop it up as a tent, fold the keyboard to become a tablet and even tilt it to resemble a miniature home cinema screen.

As for the display, the Pixelbook features a 12.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen. The keyboard carries soft-touch keys with a backlit design, making work even easier for you. Even the trackpad comes with special touch-processing algorithms, allowing you to navigate easily and accurately.
At the core of the Pixelbook lies the Intel-Core i5/i7 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and storage options up to 512GB. Google Drive will also save all your work from Google Docs, Sheets and Slides onto the Pixelbook so you can work offline as well. With a battery capacity that can last up to 10 hours on a single charge, the Pixelbook was made for productivity. If the battery runs low, 15 minutes of charging gives you an additional two hours.
Alongside the release of the Pixelbook is the all-new Pixel Pen, which uses machine learning for handwriting recognition. Like a traditional Wacom stylus, it also has a reduced latency of 10 milliseconds, making it feel just as good when sketching or writing on pen and paper. The Pixel Pen comes with up to 2,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, making it fast, responsive and accurate in every style and manner of writing and sketching.
Google Assistant is in the Pixelbook with its own “Assistant” key. Through Google Assistant, you can get everything done through the Pixelbook, even controlling Google Home. With the Pixel Pen, you can even use it to circle images or text and Google Assistant will locate more information about it. Even if you’re in a dead spot with no Wi-Fi signal, the Pixelbook can automatically tether to your Pixel’s phone data without missing a beat.
The Pixelbook can also download all your favourite apps through the Google Play Store so you don’t always have to live on your smartphone. From Spotify to Instagram and even Snapchat, the Pixelbook can do it all.
The Google Pixelbook will be available in three different variants and will cost USD$999 (approx. RM4,223.27). The Pixel Pen will be sold seperately at USD$99 (approx. RM418.52).
