E3 is alive this year with new releases and the expansion of games into the virtual reality world, and one such gaming publisher who will be making announcements in this field is Ubisoft.

Bringing players across the planet with games like Assassins Creed and Far Cry, Ubisoft is working on VR Star Trek Game called Star Trek: Bridge Crew that will be showcased on 13th, during E3.

Lead development team working on the game is Red Storm Entertainment an Ubisoft-owned studio who brought use several Tom Clancy games. Bridge Crew is set as an interactive player experience game where you can either play as the captain, or as tactical, engineering, or helm the role of an officer onboard the Aegis starship.

Using VR gears, players in virtual reality, can do things like activate the warp drive, scan objects in space, and display important information onto a “viewscreen” within the game. Missions will be both story-focused and “randomly generated.”

“It’s up to you if you want to try the Kirk approach or be more methodical,” Red Storm creative director David Votypka said. “The game is more about how you and your crew approach situations. It’s not binary. Is it more important to save the Vulcan scientists or rescue everyone on the planet? It might be too difficult to do both. It’s just like the show. There’s not any one right answer.”

E3 takes place in Los Angeles from June 14-16, Bridge Crew will launch later this year for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR.
