Uber Malaysia Opens New Greenlight Hub; Provides Comprehensive Driver-Partner Management Services

Despite the unsubstantiated rumours about its future developments, Uber Malaysia has open the doors to its newly operational Greenlight Hub.

The new place is a huge step up from the previous establishment. Sitting a few hundred metres away from the old Uber KL Partner Support Centre, it is nearly double in size. At 460 square metres, the new hub will be able to serve up to 1,000 driver-partners per week. Of course, this includes walk-ins who need immediate assistance.

Within this multi-storey facility are proper training and briefing rooms where introduction sessions and learning initiatives will be carried out.

“Our new Greenlight Hub is a clear sign that full-on with our commitment to Malaysia. We  definitely want to provide the necessary support our driver-partners need,” says Karina Ali Noor, GM for Expansion, Uber Malaysia.

The launch of the Uber Malaysia Greenlight Hub is a cornerstone to the newly launched ‘Driver Forward’ campaign. While there is a new physical location that will support all Uber driver-partners, it also feels more can be done. This includes elevating their support services experience through meaningful changes.

Before creating this initiative, Uber has been taking stock on what the driver-partners want to make their experience better. From there, Uber the put together this concept, focusing on three pillars: Support, Earnings and Flexibility.

Support focuses on improving relevant customer services for driver partners; Earnings, meanwhile, seeks to enhance the driver-partners ability to earn; as for Flexibility, it aims to make it easier for them to balance their work and personal life.

“Driver-partners have told us that we need to do better all the time. The feedback we get tell us what we need to do. Henceforth, we are excited to announce this new Driver Forward initiative. This is the outcome of our efforts as we find out what makes the driving experience better for our driving-partners. They play an instrumental growth in Uber’s continuous growth in Malaysia. As is, we look forward to deepening their trust, and confidence, in us!” adds Karina.

The new Greenlight Hub is a testament to Uber’s commitment to Malaysia and this region. Of course, there will be all sorts of other changes coming; in due time, it will be for the betterment of the users and driver-partners. Consequently, it will work towards improving the Uber ecosystem as a whole.
