Consumers are getting what they want from their network operators nowadays, U Mobile in its latest offering has increased the internet quota to 15GB for the Hero P70 plan from 7GB. In response to competition upping the ante on their plans, U Mobile follows suit with its own deals, users can opt for the new plan when they signup from now till December, it comes with unlimited voice calls to all networks.
The telco also recently launched its new roaming service which allows customers to use their existing U Mobile postpaid plan data quota in 12 selected countries. The service, called U Mobile’s Data Backpack, will be available from 14 April 2016 onwards to U Mobile’s postpaid customers who are on the P70, i90, i130, UD95 & UD135 plans for both principal and member lines.
The countries where customers be able to use this service include Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Philippines. The service is reported to be much better than some offered.

We believe that UMobile’s Data Backpack will be a huge benefit to our digitally savvy customers who can now tap into their postpaid plan data quota when overseas without incurring any extra cost!” said Jasmine Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of U Mobile.
If customers exceed their postpaid plan data quota whilst they are in those twelve countries, they have the option of purchasing an additional 1.5GB booster at RM10 which will be valid for three days.
For customers who do not qualify, the telco has also launched an enhanced roaming plan called ‘U Data Roam 10’ for the same 12 countries. This new service enables customers to enjoy high speed unlimited data at just RM 10 per day. It also replaces the 50mb roaming plan which ended.
To enjoy the plans, subscribers will be required to manually select U Mobile’s preferred roaming partner when they arrive at any one of the 12 countries.
