At TwitchCon this week, Amazon Game Studios had a couple of major announcements. The first, was a new internal Twitch currency called Stream+. The second piece of news was of an upcoming multiplayer game in the pipeline, Breakaway.

Both announcements aren’t mutually exclusive though, as the new currency will make its debut on Breakaway. One of its uses would be to allow Twitch users to place bets on games being streamed. The currency can be traded, bought or sold, meaning the gaming industry will see a new legitimate gambling hub in the near future.

The announcement was followed by short teasers for a couple of other games, Crucible and New World. Both will see heavy Twitch integration but little is known of the games at this point.
