If you’re a fan of large screen and smooth UI smartphones, continue reading. Huawei is offering an amazing deal for your old smartphone for a brand new Huawei Mate 8 with its trade-in programme. To encourage customers to switch it is offering any iPhone 6 or 5S, Samsung Galaxy S6, Note 5or Note 4 to receive rebates of up to RM1750, the Mate 8 is currently retailing for RM2099.
According to Matthew Ng Sales Director at Huawei Tehcnology Malaysia, “We want to continue coming up with new possibilities to offer our consumers a range of quality products with the latest technology at an affordable rate. This trade-in programme serves as a great platform for smartphone users to be able to own a Huawei Mate 8 and experience the full capabilities of the device without having to burn a hole in their pockets”.

Huawei will be accepting most major smartphone brands including Huawei devices for the trade-up. Among the shortlisted brands are Apple, Samsung, Sony, HTC and Lenovo phones. For the full listing of the phone models and value, please visit Huawei outlets.
To be eligible for the trade-in, customers will need to bring their phone (no charger or accessories needed) as long as the device is in good working condition and meets the following criteria:
- Device is able to power on and off
- IMEI number is accessible
- Device must be unlocked
- Display screen is functional and not cracked
- No major damage to the device or missing buttons (i.e.: water/LCD damaged, camera lenses cracked, battery bloated, corrosion)
However consumers will need to take note, that the value of the traded device will be based on the evaluation of the respective Huawei staff at the trade-up counter. Upon validation, customers will need to top-up the difference (if any) and enjoy the all-new Huawei Mate 8.
Additionally, Huawei is also offering customers who trade in for the Mate 8 standard variant a RM100 rebate from the listed value*.
Huawei’s trade-in programme is applicable for both variants of the Mate 8 at selected Huawei Experience Stores.
