Since the announcement by the Prime Minister during his budget speech last year, many household residents have been waiting elatedly for the start of the year to get a broadband speed bump from Unifi.

Well need not wait any longer, TM has issued statement that from this month onwards residents will receive a ‘Thank You Surprise’ gift, from the telecommunication giant where those on the high speed plan will get a nominal jump on their speeds without incurring any additional charges.

For new customers from the residential segment who intend to subscribe to TM Homeline, Streamyx and UniFi services by 28 February 2017 are also eligible to enjoy the additional Mbps.

Commenting on the latest campaign by the Company, Imri Mokhtar, Executive Vice President, Consumer and SME, TM said, “In October last year, we announced that TM is embarking on a Broadband Improvement Plan (BIP) as part of the Company’s initiative to drive broadband adoption nationwide, whilst providing unlimited experiences, unmatched choices and unbeatable value for everyone. Under the initiative, the average broadband speeds for residential UniFi customers will be upgraded at the same price. The speed upgrading exercise is currently on-going and eligible customers nationwide will begin enjoying the upgrades in stages, starting from this month onwards. To date, close to 70,000 customers have accepted the speed upgrade offer and we definitely look forward to receiving more favorable response from customers towards this exercise.”

All eligible TM customers will be receiving an email via their registered email address or an SMS from TM notifying them about their eligibility for the ‘Thank You Surprise’.  Alternatively, to find out about the surprise gifts, customers can visit the website, http://www.tm.com.my/thankyousurprise starting 25 January 2017 where they are required to fill up their details online before claiming their gifts. When we checked-in our own account, our monthly home 30Mbps plan was upgraded to 50Mbs.
