Following the announcements of other watch brands, GUESS Watches just announced additions to Android Wear powered watches to their line, available for Fall/Winter 2017.

The GUESS Connect is powered by Google Android Wear 2.0, with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100. This processor aims to support sleek designs and always-on connectivity, while delivering smart sensing use cases. GUESS Connect works with both iOS and Android smartphones.

The watch is designed for customisation features and personal creation. The ladies version is a 41mm case, with clear crystals surround the case in silver, gold, and rose gold variations. The men’s version comes in a 44mm case, with a variety of dress and sport styles for versatility in his watch accessory.

Guess says that there are “over a hundred combinations” of display face, colour, and sub dials available for customisation and creating your own style. Look aand style of the watch face can be swapped with a swipe, and fitness apps can be personalised for the platform.

The Connect also brings new input methods of a keyboard, Smart Reply, and handwriting recognition. The Guess Connect supports swipe, speak, text, track – all with touch technology.

While most smartwatches we see currently out are either made by tech companies, increasingly we are seeing more traditional mechanical movement and digital watch brands coming out with their versions – including many luxury brands including TAG Heuer and Mont Blanc. Although we would speculate Guess is a more affordable price range than the former mentions. Guess we’ll just have to wait for official reveal later this year.
