Tik Tok is the latest phenomena in the social network world that has gotten young people uploading their antics video style. Many have beyond posting, taking selfies on social media to this new concept up shooting short videos just about anything, dance moves, lip syncing to a song and talent skits. But this technology is now under threat.

Donald Trump, the President of United States is waging a full on war on the social app due to its association with the company that developed this application. You see Tik Tok was developed by ByteDance a Chinese technology company that first set out the app for the local market, within three years the iOS and Android compatible software became a global hit with over 800 million monthly active users and operates in 40 languages. Anything related to China is now a taboo, Trump believes Tik Tok is set out by the Chinese government to steal data and check emails of unsuspecting users. In fact the White House is looking to banning all Chinese app calling it a threat to sovereignty and integrity.

Tik Tok was recently banned in India for the same reason, both nations are in a face off at the northern borders with escalating tension over land matters. Bollywood is obsessed with Tik Tok where many actors use the platform to engage with their fans. Influencers have also turned the platform into a money churning avenue, creating content, selling music and promoting services to their followers. The fear of one day the app is removed is real ass experinved by one Tik Tok celebrity, Parker Panell whose friend panicked when his account with 2.1 million followers was wiped off, however this was just glitch in the system and later restored.

Those who build a career on the platform are already leaving messages to their followers in case it gets shut down to track them on other social networks like Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat. Some believe Trump is just sore on how Tik Tok has many videos poking fun at the President, while some are just pleading him to leave Tik Tok alone.
